History
In 1992, John Suehle (after receiving his Ph. D in electrical engineering from the University of Maryland) and his two brothers, Joseph and Andrew (also graduates of UM), joined together to create Advanced Entertainment Technologies (AET). Their goal was to use advanced technology to create productions for the entertainment industry. What AET offered were custom laser light shows replete with full color laser graphics, synchronized beam work, and even light saber battles using live actors. AET became an immediate sensation! With AET, anything and everything was possible, from life-sized animatronics, robotics, a complete array of pyrotechnics, fully programmed intelligent light shows, and their patented ITV- an awesome 75 foot tall, 110 foot wide inflatable projection screen. If you could imagine it, AET could create it.
In 1998, Image Engineering Corporation of Boston contracted with AET to help produce their events. At the time, Image Engineering had earned an international reputation as one of the world’s premiere laser display companies. What Image Engineering was looking for- and found- were new, highly innovative creative ideas. Within two years, however, AET purchased Image Engineering. Then in 2002, AET expanded again by acquiring the award winning “Laser Force” of Milwaukee. Purchasing Laser Force made possible an operational facility in the Midwest.
Currently, AET is the parent company of Image Engineering. They offer 25 years of laser display experience. Their incredible full-scale pyrotechnic spectaculars have awed crowds throughout the country. Whether it is the 120th birthday of the Brooklyn Bridge that requires colorful lights, fireworks and massive laser production, or the enhancement of an extravagant black tie celebration for the Chinese Embassy Opera Ball- Image Engineering is the company you call when you want your event to be newsworthy, memorable and awe-inspiring.
